International Congress on Information and Communication Technology (ICICT) 2018

Informative Seminar presentations were conducted by ECE department on HCIG program, aimed for Engineering students, where participants get trained & certified by Huawei on multiple leading ICT technologies such as Wireless (2G, 3G, LTE), Core network

  3. Objectives:
    • To provide opportunities for the Researchers, Academicians, Industry persons and students to interact and exchange ideas, experience and expertise in the current trend and strategies for Information and Communication Technologies.
    • To target state-of-the-art as well as emerging topics pertaining to ICT and its Supported e-Agriculture and Rural Development Technologies, e-Education and Computing Technologies, e-Mining and Inclusive Technologies for implementation for Engineering and Managerial Applications through ICT.
  4. Outcomes:The participants got enlightened about vast avenues, current and emerging technological developments in the field of ICT in this era and its applications.
National Conference on Recent Trends in Computing & Communications (RTCC) 2018

  3. Objectives:
    • To provide opportunistic platform to researchers to exchange state-of-the-art knowledge.
    • To understand issues and challenges in the current trends of research.
    • To disseminate knowledge and share experience of emerging technologies.
    • To formulate appropriate and effective strategies towards the innovative advancements in Computing & Communications

Seminars
International Seminar on Higher Education Opportunities in UK for Engineering Students

Dr. SanjeevOhri, Vice Principal, Dudley College, UK visited the JECRC Foundation on September 21, 2017. He interacted with JECRC students and explored the possibilities with students and faculty exchange program with Dudley College, UK. He visited spiritual cell and also inaugurated the Mechanical Workshop. A token of remembrance, was presented to the honorable guests by the event coordinators Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Singh Rathore and Dr. Bhavna Sharma in the end.

International Seminar on Outcome Based Education

Dr Peter H Kent, CEO, UKEI, London with his colleague, Dr David Wing, Director, UKEI visited JECRC, Jaipur on November 9, 2017 for a discussion on Outcome Based Education for 21st centennial engineering students. Faculty members got benefitted with their words of wisdom on the current scenario of engineering education and the demand of upcoming time.A token of remembrance, was presented to the honorable guests by the event coordinators Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Singh Rathore and Ms. Shikha Maheshwari in the end.

National Seminar on Improving Faculty API

Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Mishra, Institute of Science, Department of Computer Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi conducted a seminar on improving Faculty API on November 23, 2017. The session turned as an interactive one as discussion was based on significant contributions in the classroom teachings. The session ended with the vote of thanks and a token of remembrance to the honorable guest by Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Singh Rathore.

Industrial Visit
Visit to Tedstart, Jaipur

TAn industrial visit was organized to Tedstart, Jaipur on August 31, 2017. Tedstart is a joint initiative of Startup Oasis and Department of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan, which will foster entrepreneurship in 7 regions of Rajasthan by providing special startup support programs to solve obstinate problems of the state. 64 students of JECRC visited Tedstart campus at Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Rajasthan (Center for Electronic Governance), Jaipur and learn how to tap into the pool of entrepreneurship to solve persistent problems.

Diwanshu Soni, Ayush Khandelwal, Aman Vijay, Divyang Bhargava, Aniket Dixit and Apoorva Agrawal from IIIrd year, CSE, JECRC has developed the Anti Blue Whale Game i.e. Try A-Gain...JINDA-DIL-KHEL under the kind guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Singh Rathore, Head- CSE & Ms. Shikha Maheshwari, Assistant Professor, CSE, JECRC which gives hundreds of reason to live the life with the smile while connecting users to their roots. The game is developed in an attempt to bring happiness to the users? daily life while encouraging positivity towards life through generous acts using the internet. It is an incredibly fun game that helps players in living every minute with a positive outlook, staying motivated, being happy and making others happy. This game app comes with a set of tasks that will instead have a positive effect on the player?s life and helps the player to bring him/her closer to Self, Family, Friends, and Nation. The intention behind developing such game is to help the young minds in a positive way. The game focuses on spreading happy thoughts with its tasks and ends with a message that will bring a smile to anyone’s face. The tasks of Try A-Gain app vary from easy workouts like morning walk to socially responsible tasks such as helping parents in household chores, etc. which eventually takes the player closer to the Family, Friends, and Nation and gives reason to live a better life.

1 Lakh subscribers on YouTube

  • As said journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step, Arpit Porwal, a IV year student of JECRC College CSE Department has crossed 100k subscribers mark on his YouTube channel named "APpedia"
  • He is the youngest YouTuber on the planet earth to do so in educational category of YouTube* and that too single-handedly.
  • Currently he is having 127k+ subscribers with over 10,00,00,000 minutes of watchtime on his channel.

Akshay Patni from 4th year CSE, completed 100+ SEO Projects of Global Websites in Education, Health and Yoga Niche and sold 31 Websites with the hiring of paid 50+ interns from different colleges of the country including Bits Pilani and IIM Lucknow. He is also the founder of Lifehawn.com, a self improvement blogging platform. He is the Marketing Head of Rehabyoga, a website of India's renowned Yoga Trainer, Gaurav Negi. Apart from being techno geek, he has also delivered session as a SEO Speaker by Wordpress Jaipur Team. These achievements reveals dedication and efforts put up by Akshay to become a diverse engineer.

Other achivements

  • Aditya Agarwal(III Year) has been selected for Google India Scholarship in front end development on 23rd March 2018. This is a full time nanodegree program by Udacity.
  • Sakshi Gupta (IV Year) placed in Byjus with the highest package of 9 lakh. She also secured 90.44 percentile in CAT and 90.41 percentile in XAT.
  • Rakest Prajapat (IV Year) selected in Cricket Team of RTU Kota for National West Zone (All India Inter University, Bhopal).
  • Tejasv Kulshrestha, Vaishali Agarwal, Utkarsh Mundra and Shrishti Jain (IV Year) won First Prize in JECRC HACKATHON 1.0, Jan 2018.
  • Abha Kabra (IV Year) got global certification RHCSA (Redhat Certified System Administrator) and RHCE (Redhat Certified Engineer) in July, 2017. She also published her poem in The Scribbler’s Diary-an anthology published by Rock Pigeon (publications available on Amazon).
  • Aman Pareek (II Year) stood as a winner in Inter College RTU Football Tournament 2017-2018, held in Arya College of Engg. and IT, Kukas, Jaipur.
  • Akshita Vijay and Abhishek Mohata (II Year) won Ist Prize in IT QUIZ of Rajasthan Hackathon 3.0 held in December at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.
  • Atavi Shekhavat (II Year) won in Street Play event of ZEST held in January, 2018 at St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur.
  • Diksha Goyal (II Year) won 2nd Runner Ups in Student Technical Paper Model Contest in Technovation held at Poornima University, Jaipur in Feb, 2018.
  • Akash Jain (II Year) was among the Top 10 participants of Smart India Hackathon, held at Techno India NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur.
